Blink-182 Readies Quick Jaunt to Promote New Album, Take Off Your Pants And Jacket

In-store Appearances, Letterman, Performances, Interviews, More

June 8, 2001 – Blink-182 will release their new MCA album Take Off Your Pants And Jacket June 12 in conjunction with a seven-day promotional tour which includes six in-store appearances, radio, MTV, interviews and a performance on "The Late Show With David Letterman."

Recently, Tom has been in Hawaii and Mark and Travis have been on a European press junket. On Monday, June 11th, they'll reunite in New York for a press day and live video Q&A with fans at www.getmusic.com.

On release day, Tuesday, June 12th, the band will make guest appearances on MTV's "TRL," M2 and MTV.com. At 6:30 pm, the band will make an appearance autographing their new album until 9:30 pm at the Coconuts/Rockefeller Plaza store in New York.

June 13th, the band heads down I-95 to Washington D.C., for a three-hour in-store appearance at Tower Records/Rockville (Rockville Pike) from noon - 3 pm. Then it's back in the limo for a short ride Cherry Hill, NJ, for another in store appearance at CD World (7 - 10 pm).

June 14th, the band wakes up in NYC and completes west-coast radio interviews. After a quick lunch, it's time to perform "The Rock Show" on "The Late Show With David Letterman" (which airs the following day).

June 15th, Blink-182 wings west to headline the annual Live 105 radio show at San Francisco's Shoreline Amphitheater. The next morning, June 16th, they get up and go to an in-store at the Virgin Megastore on Stockton St. (11 am - 2 pm). That same day, it's a race south for a 7:00 - 10 p.m. in-store appearance at the Wherehouse in Costa Mesa.

After a good night's sleep (in their own beds), on June 17th, it's a noon to 3 pm in-store at the Wherehouse/Hazard Center Drive in the band's hometown of San Diego.
